Fatal error: Call to a member function append() on a non-object in /home/pcgaming/public_html/billing/app/code/core/Mage/Install/controllers/WizardController.php on line 77

http://pcgamingrig.com/billing/index.php/install/

I installed magento with the first set of commands here -
http://www.magentocommerce.com/wiki/groups/227/installing_magento_via_shell_ssh

There were no errors besides the

: Function set_magic_quotes_runtime() is deprecated in PEAR/DependencyDB.php on line 548

: Function eregi() is deprecated in PEAR/DependencyDB.php on line 452

When doing these -
./pear mage-setup .
./pear install magento-core/Mage_All_Latest-stable

What do I need to do to make the error go away and have magento be useable?

For some reason the /design folder in /app was missing, I have that in there now and it’s working.. but it’s ugly!

Looks like the images are missing.

Is this an issue with the version of the installer I used? Should the installation instructions be updated with a new installer?

It looks good now, it appears that the /skin directory was missing…

I followed the instructions exactly, why are these directories missing!

Now after create admin - I get this error

Fatal error: Class ’Mage_Adminhtml_Helper_Data’ not found in /home/pcgaming/public_html/billing/app/Mage.php on line 520

I figured out from this post - http://www.magentocommerce.com/boards/viewthread/10828/ - that Adminhtml was probably missing.

I did not use ftp to upload the files. I used ssh, can someone please take a look at this installer?

Did you get it to work?
